Mary’s sincere desire to help children, combined with her compassion, patience, creativity, and sense of humor serve as a magnet to which children are drawn into a caring and fun therapy session each time they enter the doors at ABC or receive services within their school or childcare settings.

The comfortable learning atmosphere that she creates ensures that her clients are genuinely happy and willing to take risks to achieve their communication and speech goals.

Mary provides assessment and treatment services to children ranging in ages from toddler through high school with a variety of diagnoses including: Autism Spectrum Disorders, articulation/phonological deficits, developmental delays, reading/language difficulties, dyslexia and phonological processing disorders, and expressive and receptive language delays.

Mary received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Professional Speech-Language Pathology from Louisiana Tech University followed by a Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders from the Louisiana Health Science Center in Shreveport. She joined ABC in August 2015 with previous experience in Louisiana and Texas school systems where her services primarily targeted preschool and elementary aged children.

Mary is a member of the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA) and enjoys extending her professional skills and knowledge by attending professional trainings and seminars.

A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mary’s marriage to Andrew Lassere in 2014 relocated her to the Baton Rouge area. Mary enjoys traveling, shopping and spending time with family and friends.
